Depok, LAMSAMA – After its official launch alongside four other independent accreditation institutions (LAMs) on Friday, December 31, 2021, the Lembaga Akreditasi Mandiri Sains Alam dan Ilmu Formal (LAMSAMA) held an inauguration ceremony for its new office on Thursday (March 9).

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Mitra Djamal, IPU., the Executive Director (DE) of LAMSAMA, stated that the LAMSAMA office was initially located in Wisma Mandiri, Menteng. However, to accommodate various operational activities, the LAMSAMA office was eventually relocated to the 5th floor of the Multidisciplinary Laboratory Building, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Indonesia, Jl. Margonda Raya, Pondok Cina, Beji District, Depok City.

“Alhamdulillah, with the government’s grant funding, we are finally able to utilize and inaugurate the new LAMSAMA office,” he said.

The LAMSAMA office has been equipped with CCTV security systems in each room, a meeting room for hybrid meetings, workspaces for leaders and staff, as well as other adequate facilities and infrastructure.

The inauguration of the office was marked by a ceremonial cutting of the “tumpeng” (a cone-shaped rice dish) as a symbol of the readiness of the LAMSAMA office to support various upcoming LAMSAMA activities.

Interestingly, the inauguration of the office coincided with the assessment of LAMSAMA’s operational readiness by BAN-PT, which was attended by Tjokrode Walmiki Samadhi, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., the Secretary of the Executive Board of BAN-PT, as well as Prof. Bambang Suryoatmono, Ph.D., and Dr. Henriko, S.T., M.Eng., as Members of the Accreditation Council (MA) of BAN-PT.

“It is an honor for us to witness the official inauguration of the new LAMSAMA office,” said Tjokrode Walmiki Samadhi.

Although the office has been occupied for some time, this is the first time the new LAMSAMA office is officially utilized for the assessment process by BAN-PT.

Mitra hopes that with the inauguration of the LAMSAMA office, LAMSAMA will be able to operate smoothly, and the office will be effectively utilized.
