Tangerang Selatan, Indonesia — The Indonesian MIPAnet Network, comprising faculties of mathematics, natural sciences, and science and technology from universities across the country, held its 2025 National Working Meeting (Rakernas) on Friday, May 16, 2025. The event took place at the Multi-Purpose Building of Universitas Terbuka in Pondok Cabe, South Tangerang, and focused on leadership reorganization and evaluation of MIPAnet’s ongoing programs.

A key highlight of the meeting was a presentation by Prof. Dr. Muktiningsih Nurjayadi, M.Si., representing the Independent Accreditation Body for Natural Sciences and Formal Sciences (LAMSAMA). Moderated by Prof. Nurhasanah Pasaribu, Dean of FMIPA at Universitas Sumatera Utara and Treasurer of MIPAnet, the session discussed LAMSAMA’s 2025 strategic policies outlined in its 2024–2029 Strategic Plan.

Prof. Muktiningsih emphasized LAMSAMA’s commitment to strengthening institutional governance through enhanced transparency, accountability, and improved digital infrastructure.

“LAMSAMA remains committed to good governance, especially in improving our information systems through the optimization of the SALAM platform,” she stated.

She also revealed that LAMSAMA has submitted a proposal for ISG Recognition from the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE) as part of its international accreditation efforts.

Further strategic initiatives discussed included:

Prof. Muktiningsih also introduced IAPS 3.0, a new tool designed to support re-accreditation, quality monitoring, and international recognition of accredited programs.

In response to participants’ concerns regarding perceived subjectivity in qualitative assessments and inaccuracies in the PDDIKTI database, Prof. Muktiningsih provided a clear explanation:

“Our assessors follow strict guidelines and professional ethics. Their work is supervised at every stage, from adequacy assessment to on-site evaluations,” she clarified.
She acknowledged, however, that data accuracy in the PDDIKTI system remains a shared challenge that must be addressed by both the government and higher education institutions.

The meeting was also attended by Prof. Kuwat Triyana, Chair of MIPAnet and Dean of FMIPA at Universitas Gadjah Mada. Faculty deans from across the country participated actively in the presentation and discussions, which lasted over an hour.

The event concluded with the presentation of a certificate of appreciation to Prof. Muktiningsih by Prof. Nurhasanah Pasaribu, recognizing LAMSAMA’s continued collaboration in advancing the quality of science and formal education in Indonesia.
