Depok, LAMSAMA – In an effort to introduce the Independent Accreditation Agency for Natural Sciences and Formal Sciences (LAMSAMA), a series of socialization events for study program accreditation were held at the Higher Education Service Institutions (LLDIKTI) in regions XVI and V, on July 11 and 12, 2023, respectively.

The aim of these events is to enhance the quality of education within LAMSAMA’s scope by involving universities and other educational institutions as participants and hosts.

On July 11, 2023, the State University of Manado hosted the accreditation socialization for study programs in LLDIKTI Region XVI (Gorontalo, North Sulawesi, and Central Sulawesi) at Wale Christian, Kaima, Kauditan, North Minahasa, North Sulawesi. The following day, the event continued in the Meeting Room of the LLDIKTI Region V Office in Yogyakarta.

The meeting in LLDIKTI Region XVI saw participation from the academic community of the State University of Manado and Sam Ratulangi University, with additional online attendees via Zoom from the State University of Gorontalo, Muhammadiyah University of Gorontalo, Tadulako University, and other colleges in the region.

The socialization was led by LAMSAMA’s Executive Board representatives: Prof. Dr.-Ing. Drs. Ir. Mitra Djamal, IPU., Dr. Dra. Melania Suweni Muntini, M.T., and Prof. Dr. Muchtadi Intan Detiena, M.Si., with Prof. Dr. Orbanius Naharia, M.Si., Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at the State University of Manado, serving as the moderator.

In LLDIKTI Region V, the event was attended by the academic community of colleges within the region, and led by LAMSAMA Executive Board members Prof. Drs. Roto, M. Eng., Ph.D., Prof. Dr. Muktiningsih Nurjayadi, M.Si., and Dr. Atthar Luqman Ivansyah, S.Si., M.Si.

Prof. Mitra Djamal, the Executive Director of LAMSAMA, emphasized that the goal of accreditation is to improve educational quality in Indonesia, which in turn would enhance human resource quality and positively impact regional development in the long term.

Dr. Melania S. Muntini discussed the accreditation process at LAMSAMA, stressing the importance of properly preparing accreditation documents, which serve as the primary basis for assessment.

The LAMSAMA Information System was also discussed, highlighting its online accreditation process through the LAMSAMA website and a specialized website for Study Program Management Units (UPPS) and Study Programs seeking accreditation, sa.lamsama.or.id.

The event included discussions and Q&A sessions to clarify the system and materials presented.

Munawir Sadzali Razak, S.Ip., M.A., Head of LLDIKTI Region XVI GOSULUTTENG, expressed gratitude for the socialization, hoping it benefits LAMSAMA and the study programs under its purview.

Prof. Dr. Deitje Adolfien Katuuk, M.Pd., Rector of the State University of Manado, echoed this sentiment, expecting the socialization to be beneficial for all academic communities, whether part of LAMSAMA’s programs or not.

Similarly, Prof. drh. Aris Junaidi, Ph.D., head of LLDIKTI V, appreciated the successful organization of the LAMSAMA socialization event with LLDIKTI.

Future socialization events will continue in other LLDIKTI regions to further enhance the quality of education in Indonesia. By involving various educational institutions and universities, these programs aim to significantly improve education standards and quality nationwide.
